Threaded Comments Are Here

WordPress recently upgraded their comment system so that we can have threaded comments.  You can see an example of it in their announcement.  I’ve turned it on for this blog, which should help for replying to comments.  Enjoy!

I am so excited about this! I have had this request in the educational tech realm where I work and the only tool I found that had threaded comments was LiveJournal (because of Jaime’s blog!). LiveJournal gets blocked in the schools. I am guessing because they have a chat feature. EPals was the only other option and a school has to create an account, blah, blah, blah…complicated to try out. Thanks, my Techie friend – I contine to learn so much from you!!!!

    • Interestingly enough, it was LiveJournal that prompted the move to threaded comments in some sense. WordPress set up a way for LJ people to import their blogs and found this to be a problem, so they went ahead and updated the comments to a threaded system. Yay for progress!
