Walking the line between nerd and cool.

Homeward Bound

We’re about to leave for Cleveland for Christmas.  It’s about 3 hours later than we had originally planned, but this is why we planned for Tuesday and not Monday evening or Wednesday, when we have a time deadline to arrive in Cleveland.  Our normal trip takes 3.5 hours to complete.  We expect some snow in Pennsylvania, a few extra stops to manage Addison and at least one feeding along the way.  Thankfully, she’s been pretty good in the car the few times we’ve taken her out, so we’re hoping she’ll sleep in the car along the way.

Guesses for how long it’ll take to get there?

  1. Add an hour for a feeding & a change, approximately. I can remember travelling for what should have been 4 hours to NJ for Josie’s first Christmas with Grandma. It turned into a six hour trip! So much easier for Grandma Honey to come here! Good Luck and Merry
    Christmas to you All!

I agree with Lola – I would guess an extra hour. Have a great Christmas! I want to make jokes about “The Christ Child.” Love, T.

I’m going to suggest one extra hour (4.5). Not based on the weather although it will contribute some, but because Jaime will be telling you to slow down, be careful, etc. :)
and of course there will be Addison stops.

I’m guessing just 4 hours because of snow. I think Addison will take a nice long nap to the rhythm of the car.

  6. See, this is the easy travel stage. Wait until she’s potty training!!! :)

Seriously, our boys have always travelled very well, so I wish the same for you both and Addison. With as many times as you will be making that trip…you should be in good shape.

    Merry Christmas!!!
